Purchasing Costs
So, we have 3 different types of Purchasing Cost by Item
A) Manufacturing
B) Logistics
B1) Packaging
B2) Transport
In my previous post about Purchasing Performance, I said that companies don't measure Purchasing Performance because they don't have the tools (software and procedures) to do it.
Now, I will prove this statement
Imagine that you are buying an item from a supplier, and for economic and ecological reasons, you decide to use (buying or leasing) returnable packaging,
And on top of that, you (smartly) decide to pool transportation costs via a transportation company.
So, and the end of the story, you have 3 suppliers for the same item, manufacturing, packaging and transport.
Do you know any ERP able to ventilate in a single Purchasing Order all these costs by item?
